The Florida Gators, who received just 17 votes in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, climbed to No. 19 after a week’s win over Utah State, No. 7 in the preseason (currently No. 15). raised.
An upset win confirms the idea that Florida is underrated heading into the season, with the Gators in the top 20 and on the upswing. No. 20 Kentucky will face Florida next week, so a win would move the Gators up a few places. Miami is his 16th, Arkansas is his 17th, and Florida is the two schools he wants to pass.

As for the rest of the SEC, Alabama still holds the top spot in the polls, with Georgia overtaking Ohio for second after the Buckeyes struggle to overcome Notre Dame. Texas A&M moved up to No. 6 despite coming out of the gate a bit late. Ole Miss is her only other SEC school to make the top 25.
Tennessee, Florida’s opponent in Week 4, finished in the top 25 with 143 votes. Florida defeated Louisiana to get her 33 votes, UCF got 23, Auburn got her 15, South Carolina got her 6, UL Lafayette (Billy Napier’s old stomping ground) was also voted.
