
The Huntington — Marshall Artists Series will feature the return of a full season of shows and events for its 86th season.
Since 1936, the Marshall Artists Series has served as a cultural center for Marshall College students and the surrounding community, advancing the understanding and appreciation of the professional performing arts through a variety of programs.
Marshall President Brad D. Smith said: in a news release. “This series, and the exceptional musicians, entertainers and speakers it brings to Huntington, is one of the things that makes our college and community a great place. It’s a great opportunity to see world-class art and thinkers you’ll never see in any other way.

The 2022-23 line-up kicks off with a comedy night by ‘SNL’s ‘Mikey Day’ while a 60-piece orchestra brings Sir Elton John’s hits to the big screen in the Oscar-winning film ‘Rocketman’. Finish by playing. In between, enjoy music, movies, comedy, dance and holiday-themed specials.
Baxter series
The 2022-23 Baxter Series kicks off on Broadway with RESPECT on Tuesday, November 1 at 7:30 pm at the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center. Live the life of Aretha Franklin’s life of love, tragedy, and triumph for an evening filled with the timeless music of his band, vocalist, and Franklin.
Then world-famous saxophonist Dave Koz & Friends 25th Anniversary Christmas Show will be at Keith Alby on Sunday, December 4th at 7:30pm. Trumpeter Rick Brown, guitarist Peter White and vocalist Rebecca Jade. Koz and Friends will perform a Chanukah medley as well as Christmas classics.
On Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, celebrating 45 years of Keith Albee’s legacy, will feature new work by choreographers Amy Hall Garner, Kyle Abraham, Spencer Teberj, and Ohad Nahari. The 2022-23 Mount Series will feature “SNL” writer and cast member Mikey Day on Sunday, October 23 at 7:30 PM at the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center. Day became a featured cast member on ‘SNL’ after joining the show as a writer. He became known for his popular “Haunted Elevator (featuring David S. Pumpkins)” sketch with Tom Hanks and his impression of Donald Trump Jr. This show features adult content.
The multi-Grammy Award-winning Tedeschi Trucks Band will rock the stage at Keith-Albee on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 7:30 PM. Led by husband-and-wife duo Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, the 12-piece powerhouse band frequently sells out. According to NPR, they “created some of the best roots rock music of their generation.” Tedeschi Trucks Band pushes the cutting edge of American music with its own cross-genre collection while delivering sounds and messages that embrace tradition.
Rocketman, the Oscar-winning musical film about the life of iconic musician Sir Elton John, will debut in concert with a 60-piece orchestra on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. It will be presented live and the soundtrack will be played live to picture. The film will be shown on Keith Albee’s giant screen and the orchestra will bring to life a soundtrack featuring the legendary music of Sir Elton John. Taron Egerton plays Elton in the movie, performing ‘Your Song’, ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Tiny Dancer’, ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘I’m Still Standing’, ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ and more .

The International Film Festival will take place over three days, November 3-5 at the Keith Albee Performing Arts Center. Featured films include ‘Flee’ (Denmark), ‘The Worst Person in the World’ (Norway), ‘Official Competition’ (Spain), ‘Happening’ (France), ‘Hit the Road’ (Iran), Jazz Fest: Story of New Orleans” (USA).
The Banff Mountain Film Festival, the world’s most famous mountain festival, returns to Keith Albee on Friday, December 2nd at 7:30pm. Embarks on a world tour, visiting over 450 of his communities in 40 countries. It features films about mountain sports, culture and the environment.
On Saturday, March 4, 2023, Regional Reels, a one-day film festival showcasing local filmmakers and local interests, will debut. Featured films include ‘Peerless City’, ‘Picture Proof’, ‘The Wake-Up Call’ and ‘The Good Fight’. “

A Film Festival Pass that includes the Fall International Film Festival, Banff, and Regional Reel is $80 and includes taxes and fees.
