NFL 2022 preseason injury tracker: Kavon Thibodeau could miss Week 1. David Bakhtiari, Logan Thomas off PUP

Just because NFL teams don’t have to put out preseason injury reports doesn’t mean they don’t have injuries worth mentioning. and address some health-related issues. That’s the nature of the NFL.

To keep track of everything, here’s a running tracker of injuries for all 32 teams as the first week of the regular season approaches.

Aug. 21: Preseason Week 2 vs. Cardinals (24-17 W)

  • Third-round rookie DT Travis Jones isn’t expected to be out for long after overextending his knee during the game. “He piled up there,” said Harbaugh. “Unfortunately it happens sometimes, but it’s not a serious injury.”
  • FS Jordan Poyer (elbow) is “not quite there yet” and won’t be back on the field this week, according to coach Sean McDermott. The current top-team All-Pro has been dealing with this injury since early in training camp.

August 20th

  • LB Shaq Thompson has been activated from the physically incapable list, the team announced. After undergoing knee surgery in the offseason, he, one of the Panthers’ best players, is on track to become a regular for the team in his season opener on Sept. 11.

Aug. 19: Preseason Week 2 vs. Patriots (20-10 L)

  • Third-round QB Matt Corral picked up a Lisfranc injury that will likely end his rookie campaign before it can officially begin, according to coach Matt Rule. dragged. (read more)

August 17th

  • Bradley Boseman, who walked off the field during practice, will miss two to three weeks with an ankle injury, coach Matt Rule announced.

  • OT Rael Collins attended practice 11-11 for the first time since being sidelined with a back injury and personal reasons. He is scheduled to attend joint practice with the Rams this week.

August 17th

August 18th

  • Star LB Shaquille Leonard isn’t 100% even when he’s cleared to return from back surgery he underwent earlier in the summer, according to coach Frank Reich. “I’m going to have to figure out how to do it. I don’t feel 100%, maybe this isn’t fully back, but I still have to figure out how to play winning football.” Reich said. August 17th

  • Round 6 rookie tight end Andrew Ogletree suffered a non-contact knee injury during practice that coach Frank Reich said he “didn’t look good.”Turns out it wasn’t NFL media coverage That Ogletree, who was camping impressively, tore his ACL.

August 22nd

  • LB Kenneth Murray has been removed from the Physically Unable to Run (PUP) list. He returned to practice on Monday after undergoing surgery on his ankle in April.
  • RB Isiah Spiller (ankle) will not appear in the final preseason game and could miss the team’s season opener against the Raiders, according to manager Brandon Staley.
  • Josh Palmer, who is listed as the team’s third starting WR on the depth chart, has been in concussion protocol since the team’s preseason game against the Cowboys on Saturday, according to Staley.
  • CB Tevaughn Campbell (knee) and TE Donald Parham Jr. (hamstring) are out this week, according to Staley.
  • According to Staley, EDGE Ty Shelby (groin) and CB Deane Leonard (hamstring) are scheduled to play this week.
  • S Alohi Gilman and S Mark Webb are “very suspicious” heading into Friday’s preseason finale, Staley said.

Aug. 19: Preseason Week 2 vs. Texans (24-20 L)

  • Third-round rookie OL Logan Bruce tore his ACL and MCL, according to coach Sean McVay. He is out this season.
  • Round 7 rookie LB Daniel Hardy suffered a high ankle sprain that required surgery, according to McVay.

August 17th

  • QB Matthew Stafford made some encouraging comments Wednesday about his elbow after experiencing a full workload during the team’s in-squad scrimmage the day before. He’s been dealing with pain in his elbow during training camp, but his comments are a good sign that he can manage. He said, “I feel like I’m doing what I love to do and I’m on track.”

August 20: Preseason Week 2 vs. 49ers (17-7 L)

  • Second round rookie CB Andrew Booth Jr. was helped off the field after a first half play. The team later ruled him out of the game with an ankle injury. From the point of view of theVia ESPN).

August 18th

  • Irv Smith Jr., who underwent thumb surgery in early August, is on track to play in Week 1, according to coach Kevin O’Connell. ‘ said O’Connell (via Pro Football Talk). “He may not catch for a few more days, but he can definitely hear the play call and get him back there because we want him to pick up where he left off.”

Aug. 19: Preseason Week 2 vs. Panthers (20-10 W)

  • Second round rookie WR Tyquan Thornton left the game in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury and has not returned. (read more)

  • Starting QB Jameis Winston took another step forward after recovering from a foot injury he sustained earlier this month, joining practice 11-11. It’s possible Winston will play in the preseason finale, but coach Dennis Allen said he’s happy Winston’s first snap comes in the regular season.

August 17th

Aug. 21: Preseason Week 2 vs. Bengals (25-22 W)

  • No. 5 overall pick Kaevon Thibodeau could miss Week 1 after spraining his MCL against the Bengals. “I felt good,” said Thibodeau after the game, but the injury could keep him out for three to four weeks. “Fingers crossed,” coach Brian Dabor said. “Hopefully, his rehabilitation goes well.”read more)
  • Sixth-round rookie LB Darian Beavers will miss the 2022 season after tearing his ACL against the Bengals.

August 19th

  • WR Robert Forster has been placed on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury. He will miss the entire 2022 season.

August 7

  • Round 5 rookie G Marcus McKesan will miss the 2022 season after suffering an ACL tear in practice.

August 16th

  • QB Zach Wilson underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to remove a meniscus, calling into question his place in the team’s regular-season opener. (read more)

August 22nd

  • RB Myles Sanders has been out of practice since last week due to a hamstring injury. Head coach Nick Siriani did not provide a timetable for Sanders’ return. He had some tightness and pain. Just be careful with him and we’ll see what happens.”

  • Coach Pete Carroll said there is currently no timetable for rookie RB Kenneth Walker III’s return after undergoing “procedures” last week for what Carroll called “a small hernia thing.” “We’ve got to make sure he’s okay before the season opener,” he said of the second-round pick. (read more)

Aug 18: Preseason Week 2 Bears (27-11 L)

  • Starter LG Damian Lewis was sidelined with a foot injury, but coach Pete Carroll said he escaped serious injury. “We’ve been very lucky,” Carroll said (via Pro Football Talk). “He had an out-of-contract sprained ankle. He was in a hoisted condition, but the X-rays were all negative. We were very lucky. He was optimistic about it. As a result, we are also excited about it.”
  • QB Geno Smith misses the second half with a knee bruise. But it doesn’t seem to matter, as Carol said Smith could have returned if needed.read more)
  • QB Drew Lock is “really sick” with COVID-19, according to Carroll. He could start the Seahawks’ preseason finale against the Cowboys on Aug. 26 if he starts feeling better. (read more)

August 21: Preseason Week 2 vs. Titans (13-3 L)

  • Contending for the starting LG spot, Aaron Stinney sat out the season after tearing his ACL and MCL in Saturday’s preseason game against the Titans. He was placed on the injured list. (read more)
  • OLB Cam Gill is also out of the season after picking up a Lisfranc injury in the team’s pre-season opener. He was placed on the injured list.

August 18th

  • All-Pro RT Tristan Wirfs has been out of practice with an oblique injury. It is unknown how long he will be absent. (read more)

August 21

  • TE Logan Thomas has been removed from the Physically Unexecutable (PUP) list. Thomas, who tore his ACL and MCL in December, participated in individual and group drills during practice and was soon able to get him back to work 11-11. But it’s unclear if the team is ready for the regular-season opener on Sept. 11. Go or don’t feel like a full version of yourself, he can buy another week or he two. ”
  • TE Eli Wolf and DE Bunmi Rotimi will miss the season after being placed on the injured list.

August 20: Preseason Week 2 vs. Chiefs (24-14 L)
