With the Kansas City Chiefs season just around the corner, it could be an added incentive for local fans to follow the team even more closely this season. Legal sports betting in Kansas began at noon on Thursday, September 1st.
The Kansas Legislature passed Senate Bill 84, also known as the Kansas Sports Betting Bill, on April 28. The bill was presented to Governor Laura Kelly’s desk and signed into law on May 23.
Many pundits in the news and sports media predicted that the process of finalizing SB84 for consumer consumption would not be completed until the end of 2022, with sports betting actually launching in January 2023. Face-to-face or digital sports betting could now be done, but it required partnering with sportsbooks and online betting operators, which could delay the process by months.
Fortunately for Kansasians and those close to the border, the process was smoothed out as each casino worked with The Kansas Lottery and the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission to drive a targeted launch ahead of the football season. Done quickly.
Six online sportsbooks, including BetMGM, DraftKings, Caesar’s, PointsBet, FanDuel, and Barstool, have announced they are ready to launch on September 1st. Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas has partnered with Barstool to launch a face-to-face sportsbook.
Kansas Star Casino has partnered with FanDuel statewide, Boot Hill Casino and Resort has partnered with DraftKings, and Kansas Crossing Casino has partnered with BetMGM, Caesar’s and PointBet.
Sports fans can also bet inside Children’s Mercy Park, where Sporting Kansas City and KC Current play home games. Kansas Speedway also has the option to place sports bets.
The Kansas City Chiefs of Missouri have partnered with two sports betting companies, BetMGM and DraftKings. His GEHA field at Arrowhead Stadium has plenty of signs, but fans have to be on the Kansas side of the state line to place bets.
Governor Kelly made the first bet when the Barstool Sportsbook in Kansas City, Kansas, opened at noon on September 1. She placed her $15 bet that the Chiefs would win the Super Bowl. The Chiefs will win the big game on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

Ready to bet on the Chiefs in 2022? The Chiefs have future odds worth knowing before the season starts on September 11th.
Chiefs win Super Bowl (+900)
Governor Kerry only paid the Chiefs $15 to win the Super Bowl, but if you’re confident in your team and want to pay $100, your favorite team wins it all and gets you $900. can be inserted.
Chiefs win AFC (+450)
If you think the Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl, you can also double down and bet $100 for the Chiefs’ AFC win of $450. If these scenarios play out in our favour, this is a double dip.
Chiefs win AFC West (+160)
If you want to bet $100 that the Chiefs will win the AFC West title for the seventh year in a row, you can pay $160 if they handle business within the division. Many consider the AFC West his toughest division in the NFL. The Los Angeles Chargers are up at +225, the Denver Broncos at +260 and the Las Vegas Raiders at +650. I like the Chiefs odds.
10.5 wins or more (-118), 10.5 wins or less (-118)
If you’ve followed Andy Reid’s career, an easy bet here is to take over with 10.5 wins. Since taking over as Chiefs head coach, he has won at least 11 of his 11 games every season, all but two. The Chiefs haven’t won more than 12 games in a season since Patrick Mahomes took over the starting quarterback job. A $100 bet on either side yields $184.75.
Chiefs with best regular season record (+900)
If you think the Chiefs will do best in the regular season, you can bet $100 and win $900. Personally, I would probably stay away from this despite the odds being high. The Chiefs have a tough schedule, and having the best record in the entire NFL, let alone the AFC, is a tough job.
Patrick Mahomes Wins NFL MVP (+750)
Mahomes has a new receiving group this season. He still has the best ever tight end with Travis Kelce, but many pundits believe Mahomes will have an adjustment period with this new group of players. It’s a place where you can zig while people zag. If Mahomes performs above expectations in his new group, he will be firmly in the MVP conversation at the end of the season. Betting $100 and winning $750 is not a bad option.
George Karrafutis wins Defensive Rookie of the Year (+1600)
Here’s something worth noting. Karlaftis showed off his bursting and power during the preseason, racking up several sacks along the way. If he can sneak into double-digit sacks as a rookie, he’ll be one of the front-runners to win the award. That’s why going after rookies can pay off big. If Karlaftis wins, $100 pays him $1,600.
These are just a few of the many options to consider. Weekly game betting is something we watch game by game, but making these mid-season bets will keep Kansas state betting going and perhaps make rooting for the Chiefs a little more difficult as the season progresses. Become.
