Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip is the new power convertible

IFA 2022 will ignite the fireworks of different technologies this year after the forced interruption due to Corona. In addition to impressive technology in the field of consumer electronics such as the flexible OLED TV LG Flex LX3 and smart home his gadgets such as the promising Dreame L10s Ultra vacuum robot, PC technology is not neglected either. Asus in particular has one highlight after another this year. The Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip is arguably his one of the most powerful convertibles of all time.

Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip tech specs make big eyes

Just a few years ago, convertibles were considered low-performance wannabe notebooks that only scored points for their core functionality as a tablet-notebook combination. Asus has revealed that these hours count in his Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip presentation. It’s easy to see why when you look under the hood of a device that’s only 2.72 cm thick and weighs 2.7 kg. Let’s start from the heart. A power CPU in the form of an Intel Core i9-12950HX provides the performance. Supported with up to 128 GB of RAM.

Given the small amount of space available, it’s no surprise that similar high-end technology doesn’t exist when it comes to graphics hardware. On the Nvidia RTX A2000, a graphics unit with 8GB of video RAM should provide excellent graphics, but you can’t play the latest graphics breakers at maximum graphics settings. In terms of storage space, up to 4 TB consisting of two SSDs is possible. A battery with a capacity of 90 Wh should give stamina to mobile work.

large format convertible

It’s not just that convertible hardware is pretty special. The impressive 16-inch display size is also rather rare in this market segment. The Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip comes in 16:10 format and of course also offers touch controls. Manufacturers use IPS in their panels as well as providing stable viewing angles. On top of that, the brightness of the Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip stands out. A convertible display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels provides at least 500 nits. There is also the option to add backlighting for users who like to work outdoors in sunlight. Mini LEDs should be able to get brightness up to 1000 nits.

Of course, it’s not without webcams. It not only offers 1,080p and enables fashionable video conferencing, but also comes with security features such as Windows login. The fact that the Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip is on the cutting edge of technology is also highlighted by other features. Besides WiFi 6E, there is also Bluetooth 5.2. In terms of connectivity, a convertible score with an HDMI port, two USB-A ports, a mini-DisplayPort, a 3.5 mm jack, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and more.

Pricing and Availability

You don’t have to wait too long for your Asus ExpertBook B6 Flip to boot up. It should still be ready in the fourth quarter of this year. However, with a suggested retail price starting at his €2,599, this powerful device is by no means a bargain and is clearly aimed at professional users.
